Sentralen

Sentralen combines two connected bank buildings from the late 19th century that now function as a contemporary cultural center in central Oslo.

The main structure, built in 1899 as Christiania Sparebank, underwent extensive transformation in 2012 to convert the banking halls into cultural spaces.

The venue functions as a center for social innovation, providing spaces for exhibitions, concerts, workshops, and collaborative activities throughout the year.

The building contains multiple rentable rooms, a restaurant, flexible event spaces, and modern facilities accessible through public transportation in central Oslo.

During renovation, original materials were preserved in their natural state, creating an interior that merges historical elements with modern architectural features.
