Naseem Garden, Public garden in Muscat, Oman
Naseem Garden is a large public park in Muscat with many different areas to explore. You will find walking paths, planted gardens, an aquarium, a lake, and play areas for children.
The park was founded in 1985 as Oman's first major green space project. Its creation was part of the celebrations marking the 15th National Day of the country.
A Japanese garden section was gifted by the Japanese embassy and reflects the friendship between the two nations. Walking through this area, you notice different landscaping styles that tell a story of international connection.
The park is easy to reach and clearly marked along Sultan Qaboos Highway with signs from both directions. You can enter from multiple points and explore on foot at your own pace.
The park once had a small train that carried visitors around the grounds, though this service no longer runs. This little railway was a popular way for families to see more of the space without walking the entire distance.
