Juan Luna E-Services Building, Commercial building in Binondo, Philippines
The Juan Luna E-Services Building is a five-story commercial structure located at the intersection of Juan Luna Street and Muelle de la Industria in Manila. It houses multiple information technology companies and computer peripheral vendors distributed across its floors.
The building was designed and constructed in 1922 by Murphy, McGill and Hamlin as the headquarters of the Pacific Commercial Company. It originated during a period when Manila expanded as a commercial center and banking institutions shaped the city's architectural character.
The building displays classical architectural features with six engaged Ionic columns and antique entablatures across its facade. These elements continue to define Binondo's streetscape and reflect how early banking design shaped local construction standards.
The building is accessible during standard business hours as it primarily serves office workers and business visitors. Visitors should note that it functions as an active commercial center, and access to certain areas may be restricted.
A 2007 renovation by LBC Properties preserved the historical facade with its classical details while modernizing the interior spaces for contemporary use. This approach demonstrates how older structures can be adapted without losing their historical appearance.
