Wack Wack Golf and Country Club, Golf course in Mandaluyong, Philippines
Wack Wack Golf and Country Club is a golf facility in Mandaluyong with two championship courses of 18 holes each. The East Course stretches 654 yards (598 meters), while the West Course extends 6,540 yards (5,981 meters).
William James Shaw established this club in 1930 as a response to discrimination against Filipino players and caddies at other facilities during the American colonial period. It was created to provide access for those who were excluded from existing clubs.
The club's name and emblem feature two black birds inspired by the crows that once lived in the surrounding area. You can spot this distinctive symbol throughout the facility, from signage to logos.
The West Course offers four tee positions - Gold, Blue, White, and Red - to accommodate different skill levels. Golf carts are available for rent, making it easier to navigate the sprawling layouts.
The East Course hosts the Philippine Open Championship, making it one of the region's most important tournament venues. This prestigious role has earned the facility recognition beyond the country's borders.
