Mines View Park

Mines View Park is an observation point in Baguio, Philippines, providing a wide view over the Amburayan Valley from an elevation near 1,435 meters (about 4,700 feet). The platform sits on a hillside with stone staircases leading up from the parking lot, while vendor stalls line the walkways.

The site developed in the early 20th century as a vantage point over copper mining areas when Baguio served as a mining center. Later decades brought tourist facilities as the mines reduced activity or closed entirely.

Vendors along the pathways offer woven textiles and hand-carved souvenirs rooted in Cordilleran craftsmanship. Tourists can dress in traditional mountain garments for photographs with the valley in the background.

Access to the viewing platform involves a short staircase climb from the main parking area, with morning hours drawing fewer crowds. Binoculars can be rented on-site to improve views across the forested slopes.

A nearby convent operates a small shop selling homemade strawberry products and regional pastries. The proceeds support charitable projects run by a European religious order.
