Złocieniec

Złocieniec is a municipal center in West Pomeranian Voivodeship in northwestern Poland, surrounded by lakes and forests. The town spreads across several neighborhoods with residential areas, green spaces, and the typical facilities of a local hub.

The town received its charter in 1333 from the von Wedel family and developed into an urban center in the region. After 1945, it underwent a complete population shift when the German inhabitants departed and Polish residents arrived from eastern territories.

The Church of the Assumption shapes the town's character and shows how a religious landmark has been central to community life over many generations. Walking through the center, you can see how faith and local traditions remain woven into daily routines.

The town is easy to navigate on foot and has a clear layout with straightforward streets and pathways. Visitors should take time to explore the different neighborhoods and discover the surrounding lakes and woodland areas.
