Gmina Koniusza

Gmina Koniusza is a rural municipality in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, located south of Krakow and comprising multiple villages connected within one administrative unit. The area is characterized by agricultural landscapes and scattered settlements typical of the Polish countryside.

The municipality was reorganized as a distinct administrative unit during Poland's local government reforms of 1999 and assigned to Lesser Poland Voivodeship. This restructuring reshaped the area's governance and political boundaries.

Jagiellonian University in Kraków conducts archaeological surface studies throughout the district, revealing information about past settlements in the region.

The municipal administration center is located in Koniusza village and provides local services to residents and visitors. The area is best accessed by car, as public transportation options are limited in this rural setting.

The district includes agricultural lands where farmers receive support from the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture for seasonal activities.
