Villa Caro in Gliwice

Villa Caro is a two-story brick building with Renaissance Revival features located on Dolnych Walow Street in Gliwice. The L-shaped structure features decorated window frames and a prominent hip roof, with the original fence surrounding the property.

The building was constructed in 1885 as a private residence for factory owner Oscar Caro. In the following decades, architectural changes and new uses transformed the property, eventually leading to its role as a cultural institution today.

The interior spaces showcase ornamental details from the early 1900s that reflect the refined taste of its owners. These decorative elements reveal how wealthy families of that era expressed their status through art and craftsmanship.

The building is open to visitors and functions as a museum branch where you can explore the architecture and interior spaces. Visitors can walk through the garden area and examine the preserved rooms at their own pace.

The main hall features a notable staircase adorned with a sculpture of a mythical creature that serves as an artistic focal point. Other rooms display design elements reflecting Italian artistic influences that were favored by the owners.
