Trzcińsko-Zdrój

Trzcińsko-Zdrój is a town situated on the western shore of Lake Miejskie in West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The Rurzyca River flows through its center and defines its position within the broader landscape.

The settlement was founded in 1248 under the name Sconenvlete and became an important trading post between Poznań and the Baltic Sea. This strategic location shaped its role for centuries.

The name reflects its former spa heritage, which locals continue to associate with the place. People gather in public spaces to celebrate traditional festivals and maintain a strong sense of community through shared activities throughout the year.

The town is small and walkable, with clear streets organized around the lake and river. Visitors should expect basic conditions and remain flexible with plans, as it is a small community with limited services.

The town was a well-known spa resort until 1948, where visitors came for mud baths. The thermal facilities were relocated to Połczyn-Zdrój when a Soviet airfield was built on the site.
