Saint Anne church in Olesno

Saint Anne Church features a central building with chapels extending from each side, creating a distinctive five-petal rose formation in its structural layout.

The original chapel, constructed in 1444 around a pine tree trunk, was replaced by a larger wooden church in 1518 under the consecration of Wroclaw Bishop Jan V Turzo.

The church contains multiple altars, religious sculptures, and votive offerings, including a collection of wooden sticks and iron implements from historical pilgrimages.

The church stands 2 kilometers north of Olesno center, near the road to Gorzow Slaski, surrounded by a forested cemetery with additional religious structures.

The architectural design of this wooden church, presented at a New York world exhibition, incorporates Gothic elements with a central nave connected to five radiating chapel wings.
