Chlewiska, Szydłowiec County

Chlewiska is a village in Masovian Voivodeship, positioned south of Warsaw and serving as the administrative center of its municipality. It sits at roughly 211 meters elevation and connects to surrounding areas via provincial road 727.

The village developed under the influence of the Odrowąż noble family, who established their dominion through a manor house during its early period. Later, between 1882 and 1892, a French metallurgical company built an important ironworks facility in the area.

The late Gothic Church of Saint Stanislaus shapes the village center with its 16th-century carved ornaments and an 18th-century bell tower. This building shows how religious architecture defined the community's identity across generations.

The village is easily accessible by car via the provincial road and offers basic rural facilities. Visitors should note that accommodations and services may be limited, as this is a small rural settlement.

The village contains remnants of an ironworks built by French investors, bearing witness to industrial expansion in this rural area. This facility represents a period when factories emerged in farming communities, transforming their character and economy.
