Blank Palace, Classicist palace in Senatorska Street, Warsaw, Poland.
Blank Palace is a classicist building on Senatorska Street, designed by Szymon Bogumił Zug between 1762 and 1764 and standing next to Jabłonowski Palace. The structure displays typical classical features with carefully proportioned facades and interior spaces.
The building was originally constructed for Filip Nereusz Szaniawski and came into the possession of French banker Piotr Blank in 1777. Following severe damage during the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, it underwent complete reconstruction between 1947 and 1949.
The building takes its name from Piotr Blank, a French banker who purchased it in the 18th century and left his mark on Warsaw's financial history. Visitors can observe how the classical facade reflects this commercial past.
The building is centrally located on Senatorska Street and easily accessible on foot. Visitors should note that it currently serves as an administrative center, so access and viewing times are limited.
The palace served as the official residence of Warsaw Mayor Stefan Starzyński during the interwar period before transforming into an administrative building. This dual role reveals how the structure navigated Warsaw's political and bureaucratic changes over the decades.
