Krajenka, Municipality in Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland
Krajenka stands on the Głomia river, 15 kilometers south of Złotów, encompassing an area of 3.77 square kilometers within the ethnographic region of Krajna.
The settlement received Magdeburg city rights in 1420 from Polish king Władysław Jagiełło, before being annexed by Prussia during the First Partition of Poland in 1772.
The town preserves its Polish heritage through traditional festivals, regional cuisine, and architectural elements, including the Protestant church designed by Carl Friedrich Schinkel in 1846.
The municipality operates under a mayor-council system, providing essential services to 3,586 residents through local administrative offices located in the town center.
The name Krajenka derives from the word Krajna, indicating its historical position at the borders of the Polish state during medieval times.
