Arena Łódź, Indoor sports arena in Karolew-Retkinia East district, Łódź, Poland.
Arena Łódź is a multi-purpose hall in the Karolew-Retkinia East district of Łódź, Poland. The building is made of steel and glass and features several conference rooms, VIP areas with terraces, and LED screens throughout the interior.
Construction began in 2006 and was completed three years later. The project was funded with contributions from the city administration and private investors.
The hall now carries the name of an insurance company and serves locals as a meeting point for major sporting fixtures and music performances. On game days thousands of spectators stream in to cheer their volleyball teams or watch international artists perform.
The facility offers more than twelve thousand seats and a large parking area with over fifteen hundred spaces. Access is through several entrances that open simultaneously during major events.
The event space can be transformed into an ice rink or swimming pool within a few hours. This technical flexibility allows the venue to host ice hockey games, water sports competitions, and concerts in the same hall.
