Cisy Castle, Medieval castle ruins in Cieszów, Poland.

The stone fortification sits on a hillside in the Czyżynki valley, featuring remaining walls, a circular tower base, and a dry moat system.

Duke Bolko I initiated the construction of Cisy Castle during the 13th century to protect the western borders of the Piast dukedoms of Świdnica and Jawor.

The castle structure represents medieval military architecture of Silesia, incorporating local sandstone and adapting its walls to the natural terrain formation.

Visitors can reach the castle ruins through marked hiking trails, including the Piast Castle Trail, located 3 kilometers from the larger Książ Castle.

Swedish troops set the castle ablaze in 1634 during the Thirty Years War, leading to its gradual deterioration and current preserved state as ruins.
