Nowy Wiśnicz is a small town near Kraków marked by a castle that stands out in the landscape. The place lies south of Bochnia and contains historical buildings as well as a Jewish cemetery in the surrounding area.
The town fell victim to destruction during World War II when German forces damaged the main building. This period left deep marks affecting parts of the built fabric.
