Wambierzyce is a pilgrimage village in Lower Silesian Voivodeship situated in a mountain valley near Radków and Kłodzko at approximately 410 meters elevation. The settlement centers on a monumental Basilica surrounded by residential buildings, guesthouses, and visitor facilities that serve the many worshippers who come here.
The settlement first appears in written records as Alberndorf in 1330 and passed between Polish and Bohemian control during medieval times. The current Basilica was built in the Baroque style between 1715 and 1723 and has defined the character of the place ever since.
The Basilica draws pilgrims from across the region who gather here for worship and spiritual reflection related to the cult of Mary. People visit during religious festivals and mark personal occasions at this sacred site that holds deep meaning for Catholic communities.
