Biały Kamień, Wałbrzych

Biały Kamień is a residential quarter in the northwestern part of Wałbrzych where post-war apartment buildings stand alongside older structures. Local shops, schools, and community spaces are distributed throughout the neighborhood to serve daily needs.

The area was first documented in 1305 as Albus Lapis and grew from a small farming settlement into a significant district over the centuries. A major fire in 1800 destroyed many buildings and led to reconstruction with different architectural approaches.

The district maintains regular neighborhood gatherings where residents participate in traditional Polish celebrations throughout the calendar year.

The neighborhood is well served by public transit connecting it to central Wałbrzych with trams and buses reaching most areas. Walking paths and crossings are generally straightforward, making it easy to navigate the streets.

A devastating fire in 1800 resulted in the reconstruction of numerous buildings, creating a distinct architectural pattern that remains visible today.
