Rytro

Rytro is a mountain village situated in the Poprad River valley, surrounded by forested hillsides of the Beskid range. The settlement sits at approximately 360 meters in elevation and spans across multiple districts within this river valley setting.

Medieval stone fortifications once stood on the hill overlooking the village, serving as a guard post along important trade pathways. The settlement developed in connection with this fortified position, which monitored movement between regions during the medieval period.

The community here maintains a deep connection to the land and traditional crafts that shape daily life. Visitors will notice how locals celebrate seasonal customs and gather for communal events throughout the year.

The village is accessible by bus from Nowy Sącz to the north, and also served by a railway line running toward Muszyna. Visitors should plan their arrival according to local transportation schedules, as services run at regular intervals throughout the day.

The territory comprises five distinct settlements spread across the landscape, each with its own character and appearance. This scattered arrangement makes exploring the area rewarding, as each section offers something different to discover.
