Ergo Arena, Indoor arena in Żabianka-Wejhera-Jelitkowo-Tysiąclecia, Poland.
Ergo Arena is a multi-purpose hall with 15,000 seats located between Gdańsk and Sopot in northern Poland. The hall contains a six-lane banked 200-meter oval track and offers space for athletic competitions and concerts.
Construction of the building began in 2007 and was completed in August 2010 with a budget of 251 million złoty. The completion came in time to serve as one of the host venues for the European Handball Championship a year later.
The venue takes its name from an international insurance company and regularly draws visitors from across the Tri-City area. Concerts and sporting events fill the hall throughout the year, bringing together people from Gdańsk, Sopot, and Gdynia.
The hall sits on the border between two city municipalities and can be reached via main roads from the Tri-City area. For larger events, arriving early is advisable as the surrounding area becomes busy during concerts.
The building stands directly on the administrative border between Gdańsk and Sopot, splitting responsibilities between both cities. This location makes the arena a shared project of two neighboring cities with separate municipal structures.
