Former Weichmann's Textile House, Modernist department store in Gliwice, Poland

The Weichmann Textile House features horizontal lines, extensive display windows, and a distinctive corner entrance with reinforced concrete and brick facades.

Constructed between 1921 and 1922 under architect Erich Mendelsohn's direction, with assistance from Richard Neutra who worked in Mendelsohn's Berlin studio.

The building combines elements of expressionist and functionalist architecture, reflecting the influence of Dutch De Stijl movement in its geometric design.

The structure spans three floors with a basement, incorporating retail spaces on lower levels and former residential quarters in the upper tower.

The building's design includes asymmetrical flat roofs with stepped upper stories, creating a dynamic visual effect along Zwycięstwa Street.
