Ropczyce-Sędziszów County, Administrative district in Subcarpathian Voivodeship, Poland.
Ropczyce-Sędziszów County is a non-metropolitan county in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in southeastern Poland. It is made up of five municipalities and is crossed by the Wielopolka River.
Ropczyce received town rights from King Casimir the Great in 1362, which set the foundation for the area's role as a local center. The county itself was formed in its current shape as part of Poland's administrative reform of 1999.
The five municipalities in the county preserve local customs through regular festivals and gatherings that shape village life. Visitors can experience regional crafts and traditional foods that local communities continue to practice.
Ropczyce is the administrative seat of the county and the main hub for public services, while Sędziszów Małopolski offers additional facilities. Both towns are easy to reach by road, as they sit along main routes crossing the area.
The county takes its name from two separate towns joined together, which is uncommon in Poland and reflects the shared administrative history of the area. Ropczyce and Sędziszów Małopolski are only a few kilometers apart and have long divided administrative roles between them.
