Wojnicz

Wojnicz is a municipality in Lesser Poland Voivodeship situated between the Sandomierz Basin and the Western Carpathians. The Dunajec River flows approximately two kilometers east of the center and shapes the geographical position of this place.

The settlement received town rights in 1278 and became an important center along the trade route connecting Poland with Hungary. This position made it a crossroads for merchants and travelers for many centuries.

The wooden Church of St Leonard from the 16th century displays traditional craftsmanship and reflects the religious importance of this place for the local community. The building's handmade details tell the story of the people who lived here.
