Green Gate, City gate at Long Market, Poland

The Green Gate stands as a four-story structure with two passages, featuring over 200 sculptures and decorative elements on its stone facade.

Built between 1564 and 1568 under the supervision of architects Regnier from Amsterdam and Hans Kramer from Dresden as a residence for Polish monarchs.

The building houses temporary art exhibitions as part of the National Museum, displaying works from both Polish and international artists throughout the year.

Visitors can explore the gate from Tuesday through Sunday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with the main entrance located at Long Market street.

The gate served as the official office of former Polish President Lech Walesa until 2015, when operations moved to the European Solidarity Center.
