16 Chlebnicka Street in Gdańsk, Renaissance house at Chlebnicka Street, Gdańsk, Poland.

The house at Chlebnicka Street is a three-story building with pale Renaissance ornaments on its facade. It features dormer windows beneath a gable roof, and the ground floor now serves as retail space with a shopping arcade connecting neighboring structures.

The building was constructed in 1570 for city councilor Johann Connert. In the 18th century it received a Rococo staircase, and later survived severe damage with restoration efforts preserving sections of the original facade.

The building displays Renaissance design elements that remain visible on its front today. These details reflect how such houses once marked the status of their owners within the city community.

The site can be viewed from outside, and its shopping arcade is accessible for visitors exploring the area. It can be visited year-round, best in daylight to fully appreciate the facade details.

The building was reconstructed after severe destruction in 1945, with workers deliberately restoring it to its 1560 appearance. This choice made it a rare example of intentional historical reconstruction in the city.
