The Archaeological Museum occupies the Spichlerz Błękitny Baranek building, featuring multiple exhibition halls across several floors displaying regional artifacts and findings.
The institution began as an archaeological department within the Pomeranian Museum in 1953 before becoming an independent museum in 1962 under director Leon Jan Łuka.
The museum exhibits a collection of thirty thousand artifacts, including Neolithic items from Rzucewo culture and face urns from the early Iron Age period.
Visitors can participate in educational workshops, scientific conferences, and knight tournaments while exploring permanent and temporary exhibitions about regional archaeological discoveries.
The museum presents findings from archaeological expeditions in Sudan, showcasing artifacts and cultural items from ancient Nubian civilizations in the Nile Valley.
