Church of St. Mary in Białogard

The Church of St. Mary is a brick basilica with a four-story western tower and a three-bay chancel whose stellar vaults rest on octagonal pillars. The building sits on the northeastern side of the town market, oriented from west to east.

The building was constructed in 1310 and survived multiple fires, particularly in 1506, 1561, and 1677. Each disaster led to reconstruction and some alterations to the structure.

The church remains an active center of Catholic worship in town and reflects the religious traditions of the Pomeranian region. Visitors can sense how important this place continues to be for the local community.
