Kamieńczyk, Village in Wyszków County, Poland
Kamieńczyk is a village located in Wyszków County, in the Masovian Voivodeship. It spreads across flat agricultural land typical of the region, with scattered farmsteads and country roads passing through.
The village served as an administrative center under the title of castellany from 1377 until 1795 within the Duchy of Mazovia. After this period, it evolved into a rural settlement without formal administrative status.
The village maintains a fish hatchery that supplies fresh fish to local establishments and contributes to the preservation of regional culinary traditions.
The village is reachable about 7 kilometers east of the town of Wyszków and sits amid typical Masovian countryside. Having a car is practical for exploring the area and visiting nearby settlements.
During the 16th century, the settlement was larger and more developed, containing three churches, a monastery, and around 200 houses. This period represented the peak of the settlement's size and importance before gradual decline.
