Karwieńskie Błoto Drugie, Rural settlement in Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland
Karwieńskie Błoto Drugie is a rural settlement in northern Poland within Puck County and the Pomeranian region. The village sits in flat terrain and comprises scattered farms and houses interspersed with fields and open land.
The settlement came into being when Dutch immigrants arrived in the region during the 1590s under the guidance of Jan Wejher, the starost of Puck. The area was subsequently divided, and this section became known as the second community.
The name refers to the marshy landscape that once shaped the area. Today visitors can observe the flat, open terrain that reflects this geographical origin.
The village is easily accessible by car and lies near main roads in the region. Visitors should note that the infrastructure is typically rural, and shops or services may be limited.
Local records suggest that Dutch settlers built a school building as early as 1604, pointing to an early commitment to education. This schoolhouse was among the first in the region and demonstrates the organizational capacity of the Dutch community.
