National Security Bureau, Polish government agency
The National Security Bureau is a government agency in Warsaw responsible for overseeing national security matters and protecting the country from threats. The office is located at ul. Karowa 10 and features a plain, functional building design typical of government structures, situated among other official buildings in the city center.
The bureau was established in 1991 immediately after the end of communist rule in Poland and took over responsibilities from earlier security organizations. Since then, it has adapted to changing challenges and continues to evolve in response to threats such as cyber attacks and international terrorism.
The building is not open to the public, as access is restricted to those with special permission or official business. When walking past, you will notice security personnel and measures that reflect the sensitive nature of the work conducted inside.
The director of the bureau reports directly to the President of Poland, giving it a central role in national security and intelligence matters. This direct connection to the presidency makes it one of the most influential bodies in Polish government structure.
