Poryte is a rural village in northeastern Poland located in Kolno County within Podlaskie Voivodeship. The settlement lies roughly 78 kilometers west of Białystok and comprises about 220 residents.
The village developed from two separate settlements called Poryte Szlacheckie and Poryte Wloscianskie. The establishment of a parish in 1386 marked a significant point in the early development of the community.
