Tumski Bridge, Steel footbridge in Wrocław, Poland.
The Tumski Bridge spans 52 meters across the Odra River, connecting the mainland with Wyspa Piasek through a double-span steel construction.
Built in 1889 to replace a wooden structure, the bridge marked the boundary between municipal jurisdiction on Wyspa Piasek and ecclesiastical rule on Ostrów Tumski.
Two sandstone statues created by Gustaw Grunenberg in 1893, depicting Saint Hedwig and Saint John the Baptist, stand at each end of the bridge.
The bridge maintains a maximum weight limit of 10 tons and restricts vehicle access, serving as a pedestrian connection between two historic districts.
Hand-operated gas lamps from the original construction period continue to illuminate the bridge path each evening through manual lighting procedures.
