Wdzydze Landscape Park, Landscape park in Wdzydze Tucholskie, Poland

Wdzydze Landscape Park is a protected area in the southern part of Kashubia, in the Pomeranian Voivodeship of northern Poland. It covers forests, lakes, wetlands, and low hills shaped by the last glacial period.

The park was established in 1983 to protect the natural and cultural landscape of the southern Tuchola Forest region. Before that, the land had been shaped over many centuries by local communities who farmed, fished, and built water mills, some of which date back to the 1600s.

Kashubian culture is still visible throughout the park, especially in summer when folk fairs, storytelling shows, and open-air concerts take place. The open-air ethnographic museum in Wdzydze Kiszewskie, the oldest of its kind in Poland, displays traditional Kashubian buildings and everyday objects from past centuries.

The park has a network of marked trails for walking and cycling, with routes leading along the lakes, through forests, and beside the Wda River. Canoe routes are available on the river, and viewing platforms near several lakes offer wide views over the water and surrounding land.

The park is home to the Wdzydze lake trout, a fish found only in these waters that spawns in the Wda and Trzebiocha rivers. Educational programs at the Green School in Schodno let visitors, especially children, study local plants and animals directly in the field.
