Bierbrauerei Richard Fischer

Bierbrauerei Richard Fischer was a production facility with multiple buildings at Starowislnej Street 2 near the waterfront. The complex was entirely devoted to brewing and distributing beer with substantial scale in local industry.

The operation was founded in 1708 and came under Fischer family ownership around 1804, flourishing under their stewardship for decades. The facility was destroyed in 1945, ending nearly 240 years of continuous production.

The brewery was deeply woven into neighborhood life and shaped the district for generations. The Fischer family invested in local infrastructure, improving living conditions for residents of Nowy Port.

The location sits in a historic port district zone and is best explored on foot when visiting the area. Today only ruins or historical traces remain, so it is wise to visit during daylight and gather background information about the history beforehand.

The brewery was known before 1914 for a specialty spruce malt beer that was exported in large quantities to England. This high-quality product also found buyers in Scandinavian countries, making the operation known across borders.
