Peter Mokrski founded the brewery in 1880, and it operated under various names until production ceased after World War I in the early 1920s. The buildings are registered as an immovable monument reflecting the city's industrial past.

The complex bears its founder's name and displays red brick architecture from the late 19th century that shapes how the site looks today. This building style remains a defining feature of the entire complex.
