Saint Alexandra Orthodox church in Stanisławowo, Eastern Orthodox church in Stanisławowo, Poland

Saint Alexandra Orthodox Church is a brick Eastern Orthodox church in the village of Stanisławowo, in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki County, Masovian region. The building features the onion-shaped cupolas and balanced facade that are typical of this type of religious construction.

The building was put up in 1935, during the interwar years when Orthodox communities across Poland were working to establish a more lasting presence. Its construction responded to the needs of a growing Orthodox population that had settled in this part of Masovia.

The church is dedicated to Saint Alexandra, a Christian martyr from the early centuries of the faith, a name that reflects the Russian Orthodox roots of the local community. The onion-shaped cupolas on the roof make the building stand out clearly from the Catholic churches that dominate the surrounding area.

Stanisławowo is close to Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, making this church easy to reach from there. Since it is an active place of worship, it is worth arriving outside service times and dressing modestly before entering.

Despite being in a small village, the church is listed in Poland's national register of immovable monuments, a status more commonly associated with buildings in larger cities. This puts it on an equal footing with far better known structures across the country.
