Diabełkowo, Former medieval village in Wrzeszcz district, Gdańsk, Poland
Diabełkowo is a residential settlement in northern Gdańsk that stretches along several streets near a retention reservoir. The area contains houses with gardens that were built in the 1930s and 1940s and now form part of the Piecki-Migowo and Wrzeszcz Górny neighborhoods.
The area was formerly called Düvelkau and existed as a small village in the 1800s. Between 1936 and 1943, a housing development of 34 single-story houses with gardens transformed the settlement into its modern form.
The settlement contained a kindergarten and community center in one of its larger buildings, serving as a social hub for local residents.
The settlement is accessible via several named streets and sits near a retention reservoir. The flat layout and wider streets make it easy to navigate when moving through the residential area.
Maps from the 19th century showed ten dwellings in Diabełkowo, but by the early 20th century only two structures remained before its residential redevelopment.
