Founded in 1950 in Upper Silesia, the Zabrze Philharmonic has evolved into a central institution for orchestral performances under Slawomir Chrzanowski's direction since 1990.
The orchestra specializes in performing works from the Classicism and early Romanticism periods while maintaining a strong focus on compositions from the Silesian School.
The philharmonic presents approximately 20 distinct programs annually, including symphonies, oratorios, and special shows designed for children and young audiences.
The orchestra tours ten times monthly across Poland, combining traditional classical performances with jazz concerts, musicals, and stage operas.
