The Grand Hotel and Palace features eclectic architectural elements, combining medieval cross-ribbed vaults with Renaissance details throughout its structure at Sławkowska Street.
Originally established in 1887 after Marcelina and Alexander Czartoryski transformed two medieval-Renaissance townhouses into a residence under architect Maksymilian Nitsch's guidance.
The hotel's restaurant became a gathering place for notable writers, including Henryk Sienkiewicz, and hosted numerous intellectual discussions during the interwar period.
The establishment provides accommodations ranging from Classic Rooms to Executive Suites, along with facilities such as the Billiard Club and Business Club.
In 1936, tenor Jan Kiepura delivered an unexpected musical performance from his hotel window to a gathered crowd on the street below.
