Nature reserve Bagna nad Stążką is a wetland and forest area along the Stążka River featuring various bog types and moist habitats. The area covers roughly 478 hectares across different ecological zones with lowland and peat bog ecosystems throughout.
The area received protected status in 1999 when authorities decided to safeguard its natural habitats and ecosystems. This protection measure aimed to preserve the important wetland characteristics of the Tuchola Forest region for the future.
