Góra Parkowa

Parkowa is a 741-meter summit standing above the spa town of Krynica-Zdrój and is reached by a funicular railway to the observation deck. The mountain features a restaurant, children's ski lift, and slides, making it accessible to visitors throughout the year.

Poland's first funicular railway was installed on this mountain in 1937 and transformed it into a major tourist destination for the region. The railway made the summit accessible to many more visitors and helped establish the area as an important tourist hub.

Two wooden pavilions named Wanda and Marzenie from the 19th century sit on the northern slope and showcase traditional mountain architecture. These structures remain gathering spots where visitors pause to take in the views.

The funicular railway operates regular trips up the mountain and the summit remains accessible in various weather conditions. Allow time for the ride and to explore the facilities at the top.

Four landslide lakes called Heron Ponds dot the western slope and formed naturally through ground movement. Swan Pond stands out as the largest of these water bodies, creating an unexpected watery landscape on the mountainside.
