Szczęśliwicka Hill, Ski slope in Ochota district, Warsaw, Poland.
Szczęśliwicka Hill is a ski slope in Warsaw's Ochota district that rises approximately 152 meters above sea level. The facility features a specialized Dendix mat surface for year-round skiing, a chairlift system, and training runs along the slope.
The hill was built between 1967 and 1970 from collected debris of Warsaw's wartime destruction, transforming rubble into a recreational space. This reconstruction effort created new ground where none existed before in the post-war city.
The hill serves as a gathering place where Warsaw residents of all ages come together to enjoy winter sports year-round. It has become part of the local identity as a place where the community meets for outdoor recreation.
The slope remains open year-round regardless of weather conditions thanks to its specialized surface. Visitors should arrive prepared with proper equipment and appropriate clothing for outdoor activities.
This is Warsaw's highest point and was entirely built by human hands rather than formed by nature. It remains one of only a few places in Poland where skiing is possible throughout every season.
