Buczyna nad Słupią is a forest reserve protecting mature beech trees and diverse plant communities along the Słupia River. The woodland contains several tree species that create a mixed forest habitat.

The reserve was officially protected in 1987 to safeguard the mature beech forest and its ecological value. This designation responded to the need to preserve this important woodland.
