Nature reserve Zielona Góra

Nature reserve Zielona Góra is a protected forest area in Greater Poland with rolling topography and mixed woodland ecosystems. Large oak trees dominate parts of the vegetation across this conservation zone.

The reserve was created in 1968 to protect local forests and expanded significantly in 1989 to include additional woodland. This enlargement reflected increased efforts to safeguard important forest areas.

This protected area serves to maintain forest species native to the region and connects with other conservation sites in the landscape. Visitors walking through experience how nature reserves function to preserve local woodland communities.

The reserve sits north of a railway line and can be reached on foot from a nearby village in a short walk. Marked trails guide visitors through the woodland safely and clearly.

Several oak trees in the reserve are over 200 years old and have stood through many generations. These ancient trees show the natural wealth that the area preserves.
