Nature reserve Jezioro Dębiniec

The Jezioro Dębiniec reserve spans 37.25 hectares, containing a forest lake surrounded by meadows, marshes, and diverse plant communities including water lilies and yellow pond lilies.

Established in 1959, the reserve initially covered 33.34 hectares and underwent boundary adjustments in 1967 during forest management operations to reach its current size.

The reserve functions as an educational center where researchers conduct studies on local biodiversity and environmental changes affecting different plant and animal species.

Visitors can access multiple entry points and walking trails throughout the reserve, though reaching the location requires private transportation due to limited public transit options.

The protected area harbors large populations of Cladium mariscus plants, along with numerous water birds including pochards, bitterns, coots, and great crested grebes.
