The Museum of Nature and Hunting houses an extensive collection of hunting trophies, antique weapons, stuffed animals, and exotic specimens displayed across a 19th-century palace, historic stable, and modern pavilion surrounded by a six-hectare landscaped park.
Founded in 1977 as a branch of the National Museum of Agriculture and Food Industry in Szreniawa, the museum was established by the Provincial Hunting Council in Poznań to preserve and present the rich hunting traditions of the Wielkopolska region.
The museum showcases the relationship between humans and nature through hunting traditions, promoting environmental awareness and responsible wildlife protection while preserving the cultural heritage of Polish hunting customs and practices throughout different historical periods.
Visitors can purchase tickets on-site or online, with special educational exhibits available for children and an interactive quest trail around the museum grounds costing 2 złoty per person, taking approximately one hour to complete.
The museum features a remarkable collection of 78 bird species and exotic animal trophies including elephants, rhinoceros, lions, and polar bears, donated by Adam Smorawiński after more than 20 years of collecting worldwide specimens.
