Kadyński Forest Nature Reserve, Nature reserve in Tolkmicko municipality, Poland.
Kadyński Forest Nature Reserve is a protected woodland area featuring ancient beech, ash, and oak trees in the Warmian-Masurian region. The forest covers about 8 hectares and is home to several rare plant species such as lily of the valley, sweet woodruff, and martagon lily.
The forest area was designated as a protected reserve in 1972 by the Ministry of Forestry and Timber Industry to preserve an old beech forest with individual ancient oaks. This protection aimed to safeguard natural woodland in the region from change.
The reserve forms part of the Elbląg Upland Landscape Park, connecting natural heritage with educational paths that showcase local plant and animal species.
Several walking trails pass through the reserve and allow visitors to explore the landscape from different vantage points. The best time to visit is late spring and summer when vegetation is fully developed and the trails are in good walking condition.
Deep ravines formed by meltwater erosion shape the landscape's distinctive character. From forest clearings, visitors can catch glimpses of the Vistula Lagoon and the Vistula Spit in the distance.
