Nature reserve Kajasówka

Nature reserve Kajasówka is a protected area in Lesser Poland with limestone formations and a distinctive hill structure. The landscape features underground channels created by karst processes and grasslands adapted to the local geological conditions.

The reserve was established in 1962 to protect its geological structures and plant species in the region. It was later integrated into the Rudnianski Landscape Park to provide broader preservation and management of the surrounding area.

The reserve serves as a protected space for plant species adapted to limestone habitats and warm grasslands. Visitors can observe how the local geology creates conditions where only certain plants thrive in the specific environment here.

The site has two marked hiking trails suited for different interests and fitness levels. One path directs visitors to Przegińska Cave, where you can explore underground passages.

The area contains karst formations with underground channels carved by water through limestone rock over time. These natural processes have created the site's characteristic subsurface system that visitors can partially explore.
