Głębokie Jezioro

Głębokie Jezioro is a glacial lake in the Kartuzy region that stretches roughly 1.8 kilometers and reaches depths of up to 20.9 meters. The water sits on the Kartuzy Plateau and features a raised bog formation on its northern edge that shapes the surrounding landscape.

The lake formed during the last ice age when glacial movements carved deep depressions into the Pomeranian landscape. This process shaped the geology that created the conditions for the ecosystem visible today.
