The Saint George Roundabout is a major traffic junction in Gorzów Wielkopolski that links the Old Town Bridge with Fabryczna Street, Grobla Street, and Przemysłowa Street. The Nova Park shopping center and Lubuskie Museum are located nearby.
The roundabout was built in 2007 as part of the Old Town Bridge reconstruction project and opened to traffic on July 28. This modernization reshaped the city center's infrastructure.
The roundabout takes its name from the city's patron saint and locals use the distinctive observation structure in the center as a natural meeting point in daily life. The area surrounding it represents the modern face of the city center.
The location serves as an easy navigation point for visitors thanks to the tall structure visible from different directions. Walking around the area allows you to reach the nearby shopping center and museum comfortably.
The distinctive observation structure in the center, affectionately called the Spider by locals, surprisingly houses a shopping passage inside. This unusual blend of traffic hub and retail space is rarely seen in urban design.
